Words of Wisdom – “A Land of Common Sense, as a Cure for Freedom” – Political Philosophy – 10/12/2019

“Freedom holds the definition of being ‘lost’. Without guidance, one is free; and, with the common wisdom that states that ‘each path leads to the same destination’, we begin to long for the love that makes us not free, but once more, bound in chains. Love is bondage, it is the Sadism/Masochism of desiring pain, the lashing, and the burns from kisses made deep. It is the puncture of the dagger into Virgin flesh. Love has warmth, it has fire, and is not extinguishable by the sweat that drips from temples of those lovers entwined, for the droplets only act like the wind that makes the heat roar more indefinitely. Freedom, is to be lost. To be free, makes us soulless, and in the craving of a sexual appetite, such as what was promoted during the American 1960’s, we were first experiencing what was actually a loss of freedom. Bondage and chains, lashes from whips, and beatings from domination; that was what we dubbed to be ‘love’, though was mere lust. It was sheer longing for love, though could only be produced as ‘progress’ was quickening itself. During love, we slow down. In freedom, we may see a home. In freedom, we wish to see a light, because we are roaming in darkness. We are lonely, when free. We desire guidance, and sometimes, we deserve a hit to our face to wake ourselves up from being dead.”
