Poem – “Dine with Me, Near” – Romance – 9/15/2020

My dear,
Dine with me, near,
And place your eyes close to the weight
Of the entire sun.
Dream magnificence,
Hold radiance
In arms that perch like burning birch,
And give to me your sweating glance,
Drowning the night’s waves
In heat.

Your love
Is a calm stupor.
I will guest you
In tomorrow’s morning
By lifting you
To see the remnants of the moon.
Hold your tongue,
And do not shout
Lest you spout
Eagerness, to sideways us.

I crave more
Inside your head,
For what a beautiful shine
Returns of your mind.

I wish
The world never knew disorder,
Drowning seconds
In harrowing hours.
I want the world
To know this radiance,
As a glance upon the sky,
To lift the midnight
From the world, and its fright.

Can we kiss the moon
To close us?

  1. This is so romantic and sensual. It has love in the dance of the poem’s seduction. It breaks down the barriers between two people, who are connected, to find bliss from within themselves and one another. There is the draw between two people that makes them crave each other, when reciprocated, and you communicate this beautifully throughout your words. It is raw, and who would not want to share the bliss from two lovers with the world? Perhaps, you are correct that if the world felt the way they do, there would be much less disorder. The world could finally know peace.

Another brilliant poem to dive into. Amazing work, as always. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

    1. Thank you so much, for this feedback to my poem. πŸ˜€

Apologies. I haven’t been very active on WordPress. Maybe I’m just not very good at the engagement. Lol.

I reckon some bloggers spend a good portion of their day interacting with who they follow. I mainly just spend random moments, here. Not as dedicated as some, though I do write a lot of poetry. πŸ˜€
