Poem – “Feel that Large” – Romanticism – 1/7/2021

Flower vines,
Twisted hope
Comes undone
To reveal, the thought of you
Beneath the earth,
Among all its buried wishes.

Send yourself
Upon wings, long with the meadows
To attract you to Heaven.
Hold what little of me
Remains to be believed,
Sideways, against God.

He makes you His,
The Holiest triumph
For the somber reward,
With little kisses
To match the unheard
Weeping from my fragile mind.

Simple plight
Down to the deepest creases
Of my discarded sight.
I cannot hold you in the thorns,
So I shall cover you with roses.
