Poem – “Carving out the Woman” – Erotica – 2/16/2021

What with white knives,
Eager to blend in with the pulse,
Drawing circuitry.

Here, she swims,
Crawls through waves
With longest arms.

And here, to crave
The sin, not the sermon,
Of touch upon the wicked breast,

And light a candle
Upon each rotting finger.

Love stains
And blood-stains,

Drenched wilderness
Of fantastic virginity.

Burning innocence with a strain.

Her sighs
Upon shores, the quilts.
Her skin,
Wild in its ripples,

Of contours that sear,
An ocean
With oils, for further gleam,
Basking to desire’s scene.
