You retrieved me,
kept me from being hollow.
But here I am,
fulfilling death's wish
with a promise,
a knot at a rope,
and a broken bond.
You relieved me,
stilled me under stars,
racing across a galaxy
with symmetry held
until reflections cracked.
Until we attacked
what we held close,
love eternalized our forms
within arms, enclosed.
Love had been
that opening eye,
releasing a flame
upon fragrant landscapes,
enveloping us
in a heartbeat's quakes.
