Through example and force, or knowledge and ignorance, or the long-term and the short-term, you’ll see scenarios taking place as oppositions in between equality and equity.

Forcing a hire into a position where skills were once the primary consideration had to have been a move with force involved when it will always be a person’s skills that set the example. Disregarding knowledge for the sake of a current primary consideration of race or gender is the same as disregarding the contents of a book for the importance of its cover. Favoring equity to ignore long-term problems as the methods behind equity focus on the underrepresented will remain to be identified as a short-term solution.

What else is forced except for the idea of keeping truth on a leash?

What else can be in favor of ignorance when one holds a primary consideration for the surface, instead of the infinite details beneath?

What else is a mere short-term solution for a long-term problem when it’s a constant focus on race or gender or other underrepresented groups, when the actual ongoing and often ignored faults lie within culture and backgrounds?

It’s with ease and convenience in mind to not focus on the smallest and most minute details. It’s also with convenience and a childish lack of patience to consider always the group, instead of the individual’s own interests. We’ll have a society that wants for people do what’s best for the group, though we’ll be no different than a father who scorns his son for wanting to be an artist when his father wants him to become a doctor or a lawyer.

Losing touch with individualized decisions is no different than that father forcing or manipulating their child to be as they ought to be, instead of encouraging the examples of excellent fatherhood and parental guidance. Instead of encouraging the example of what this father’s son could be, as an artist, as perhaps one of the world’s best painters, sculptors, musicians, etc., he’ll simply think of the group. Why? Because it takes less time to consider the group over the individual.

We’ll favor criminals who also hold a less-than-patient and dishonest mindset, incomplete in their existence without a value for self-awareness. Without self-awareness, a person cannot see what they’ve ignored, ongoing as it will be, prolonged into eternity.

Equity is the force. Equality is the example. Equity is the artificial. Equality is the natural. Equity is the ignorance. Equality is the knowledge.
