Poem – “Closure’s Company” – 2/16/2024

Stagnated until an ending
of a pain, left without mending.
I chose to partake
in unfiltered tragedy,
disallowing weather to break
when raindrops came loose.

I chose to fertilize
sceneries that antagonize,

finding that a whirlwind
had been safer than a remedy.

But who knew
when light would blossom,
from clouds that shroud
a radiant garden?

Heaven's glory
reveals a different story.
In closure's company,
I am building a world
that needs no eternity.
I've been unveiling
a road, for simplest,
fullest serenity.

Flavors were wild,
tensions become mild,
when summer's erased
that pathless trace.
