It's been time to decide
when this heart will unwind,
where tears will flow
to bring close what can't
return to aching arms.
Will this graveyard garden
be as colorful as your face,
once smiling, once hoping
for the end to never be?
I'm no longer closing out
everything I've shut in,
as it can no longer weigh
upon me, from within.
I can no longer afford
to be as shattered as you,
as lost as a torch
whose light went out.
I'll come, swimming back
through rain I've emptied
from a swollen heart,
with that clouds that gather,
clouds that never part.
I'll run towards this way
with fire along my trail.
I'll never deign to forget
the reason to set sail.
