Poem – “At the Bottom of all my Pain” – Romance – 4/7/2020

Reach me
Life, that takes a stand.
I wanted to kiss scarlet
Of one pair of lips.

Now her radiance
Has left me,
Beside a fountain
Where life holds its moments.

Love is the kindest funeral,
Upon when the wedding takes its march
And its bow.
Leave me only your cruelest words, at the altar.

Forgive
What I have become.
I am just another man
Who cannot stand,
After I have bowed before you,
My dearest woe.

Do not cry
When my tears make an ocean at your feet.

At the bottom of all my pain
Is where my reflection grows.
