Poem – “All the Snow in your Heart” – Romance – 5/8/2020

I said the currents would rush

From quivering eyes.

I said the ocean would fill your heart,

Before it turned to snow.

Breathe for me

What you want to see

Of a universe, that does not bleed.

For only a star

Could reveal such light

Against the void of disappearance.

How much blood

Could fill the darkness?

How much snow

Could fill your heart, to overflow?

The lakes drown fish,

While the ocean carries whales

To the sections where they call, in the night.

I see you

Welcoming the dimness of a fresh moon

That will not cry, with you.

All buried wishes,

Are lost among the countless stars.
