943rd Poem – “Not Leave my Grief” – Romance – 7/12/2020

I'll not leave this serenade
Of loneliness,
Leaving dripping tears
Upon the hollowness of my stare.
You can draw the blinds closed
To comfort me,
Though I'll remain
To hold close the pain,
The holes
That are shattered marks on my heart.

I'll not drown my grief
In a greater belief
That I can lift myself to see the sun,
For the moon seems brighter.

I'll not face the unknown,
Because I crave
Where I am alone,
In this circle of disease.

I aim to please
Myself, in the searing cauldron
Of my endearing pain.
It is all I possess.
Let me get undressed
To its fabulous moment,
For the currents of passion
Shall always entice.
