Poem Collection – 4/10 – On “WHILE THE WORLD SHEDS ITS SKIN” – “Enacting Stupor” – Romance Poetry

Will you love
To remain still
In this eclipsing moment?
You are beneath the moon, now,
To spot a conscience
Deep within the buried sun.

I kiss,
I hold,
As all I want
Is you.
A deeply-buried regret
Funnels my breaths,
As I sleep with my angel,
While I battle my devil.

He,
As me
Is clogged beneath blankets,
Sends me forewarnings
To the burning church.
Love loses memory
When we wish to forget,
Being unable to forgive.

The world tortures your fingers,
Piles you high
With the rest.
Will you keep,
Or will you flee?
