Poem – “Eyes upon a Downstream” – Modern Romanticism – 1/13/2022

Send soldiers
To her.
Pull her
From tragic ruins,
Leaving the sparks.

And laughter
Runs the same breath
From her shattered lungs.

Wake me
Upon the smile I recognize.
Hand in hand,
A dance to create the colors.

With desire
Holds her at the tower,
Threatening closure.

Send those knights.
Keep her life
From taking the brisk walk
