Poem – “Through a Fading Day” – 7/10/2026

Be still
with your beating heart
that grows silent,
in the moments
we both steal,
we both condemn
deep under
self-made rivers.

Be blessed,
while we drag
with a burning rope
the final seconds
for your lips
to absorb.

We’ve desolated
our devotion
towards this resolution,
to end up denying
a common right,
to be beyond the hours
defining unsolvable
limitations.

We’re appreciative
of what we can capture
like a firefly
inside a glass shard,
like a profound reflection
within a puddle.

You will die
in the same instant
that I will cry.

You’ll gain wings,
as I’ll move in the flow
of crystal droplets.
