Poem – “Unlike Summer” – 10/12/2026

A single channel
to reflect
upon a life too far
from reaching arms,
where hidouesness
replaces beauty.

Emptiness
smothered a light,
blocks warmth
from melting winter
into infinite drops
from eyes that stare
in one direction.

Where you went,
I cannot go,
until I’ve also been
dismembered
from summer.

I can’t deliver
another kiss
to your wide face,
just to the shadow
you left here.

I’m dreaming
from eons away
from the moment
I’ll suffocate
on the ice
on the highway
of life’s constant
uncertainty.
