“On a Road, going Nowhere” – Poem

By

On a road, reaching somewhere,

Though, going nowhere.

Like two atoms,

The smallest of grain,

Against the flakes,

We are reaching somewhere

But falling nowhere.

Love had its way

For us, in the growth of it.

But, the fewest droplets

Are yours,

In unloving lakes.

You have seen loneliness

For us both.

I have seen safety

For no one, besides myself.

You are tormented,

And I cannot help, but to feel nothing.
