You may
As you still do
Dress your face with the lotion that is so sweet.
Dress your body with the oils
I cannot lift you, when they surround you.
But, can you dress your eyes with the morning’s dew?
Dress your delicate lashes with the sweetness
Of tomorrow’s forever?
An eternity is nothing
Without thee.
Why would I retreat, back to a miserable hole,
A dwelling inside my stagnant mind?
So much sadness encompasses me
When you have departed for even a moment.
I’d like to see the sweetness in your eyes,
Just a petal, as a drop of morning dew
Upon a delicate eyelash.
I will kiss each cheek, of your face
A thousand times each.
