Poem – “What has Love Encompassed?” – Romance – 5/19/2020

Paint the walls

With the colors of your eyes.

Find a path

That is no longer broken,

As I am your friend

Who can hold you the right way

Without a weak heart.

Fall through the void, to find water

To drink of your fill,

To drink of what you spilled

From a broken mind and torn soul,

Enough to create ocean after ocean

For the sailor's toll.

Oh, how I loved

With only a rainbow to see, after the storm.

I now love

Alike the droplets of dew upon the blades of grass

That do not move

Without weight.

Whatever I carry

Had been what you can let go.
