955th Poem – “The Destruction of Despondency” – Romance – 7/16/2020

Your eyes
Clad in red,
Clad in the anger of my moments
I was so doubtful
To my destination.

My direction
Has always been to your arms.
My breath
Has always been to your lips.
My heart
Beats in rhythm to your own.

You are in my eyes,
My blood flows with your veins,
The guidance of rivers
To many miles
We leave death to the shoreline.

My heart aches
To have you.
My hands tremble
To hold your own.
I want everything of you
In the deep miles of our walking.
