Poem – “Cry your Sadness Off” – Romance – 8/7/2020

He has done no good
Upon the day of your arrival
To his wretched arms.

Your sadness,
Your cries
Should remove the cloak of coldness.

Release yourself
From his grasp.
Tear yourself, from his clasp.

Remember me,
When the sun rises
Over the shore’s sparkling current
Bleeding in from beneath.

Remember the words
I have offered you,
When death stalks,
To make you insecure.

      4. I love it. 🙂

I’ve sat in cafes, etching out poem after poem, as I’ve written over 1,000 of them on this blog.

Though, I do like to branch my areas of writing material out some, to do more than just poetry. Some writers write only poetry. I write poetry, essays, prose, screenplays…

I think that’s called being versatile, versus being a specialist.

Though, my poetry seems to be what people like the most.
