Poem – “Two Tears to See your Eyes” – Romance – 9/8/2020

The blue tempest
Of grief,
Where disbelief
Is my new strength,
As denial

Is my revival
From an ocean I had forgotten to swim.

Where I am
You still roar with bent stare
Upon the fossil to my form
Remaining so very torn
By sails
That only ever wail
In the return of you, to my waiting arms.

You give grief
To the beast
That remains untied,
Not of his heart,
Where waters enter
Of a mind that liquefies
Under the loss of sanity,
Where the rush of blood is unsteady.

Love is so much
The current under,
As life is so much
The pressure above.

You lean
With kisses that do not puncture.
