Poem – “Bloodied by Kisses” – Romance – 10/4/2020

Can you soak me,
Revel through
The midnight hour,
With blood drawn from your
Naked lips?
Can I row you
Past the glaciers to your hatred,
To the forests for your smile,
Where the dark of your eyes,
The red from your mouth
Can melt all we’ve left behind?

Curtains are smooth
Over what I wish to taste,
Of blood-red lips,
Iron in melting
Across this flesh of mine,
Over rivers that cascade from your eyes,
Dark and beautiful.
