Poem – “Beloved, you Crawl” – Romanticism – 1/29/2021

Eyes that wait,
Tears that taste
As sameness, with the bitterness
Of frozen leaves, near to
The pathway
Drawn for you.

You live
With wild eyes,
Decorated and desolated
By the weeping glacier
Forever moving

Against your mind.

You love all the dreams
That the moon could faze you,
Lifting black into white,
With the tears of the cruelest years
To make you.

I am in all that waits,
So dark in your heart,
Lifting your veil
To something residing near
The coldest sphere.

One star,
A bright color
Burning atop the thinnest void,

The coldest face
To the warmest place.
