Poem – “Your Mind that Leaves Photographs” – Romanticism – 3/11/2021

Glue together
A burnt remnant
With one departed moment
Where our hands were joined
In idlest fashion.
Strained joints
To see
In the eyes of the other
Some farewell to the blue.

I have lived for far too long
Without the warmth
Of your touch,
Frozen in the delicate frame
Of a conscious,
Unconscious mind.

Wide open
To the sounds of rushing air,
Between bird wings and coal mines,
Within both freedom and burden,
For you
In the holiest Hell.

Stay
To bleed,
With me, under the starlit universe,
Holding in the other’s hand
Some moment of resolve
To never dissolve.
