Poem – “Revival of your Skin” – Love Poetry – 5/1/2021

Something limits,
Has displaced
Our togetherness, from the faces,
The surges, the urges
Of pleasure,
To deepen romance,
To recreate extravagance
In the delicate sheen
To your form.

Can you not fall,
Before I see you coated in suds
Within the bathtub
For your cleansing?

All have deserted you,
Left you strewn as a phantom,
Alone in the dust,
Wilting in the brush.

Your face,
Pleasing the beyond,
Holding headstones as children
In your arms.
You adore death,
While I aim to revive us
Beyond selfless moments
To selfish eternity.
