Poem – “Pour yourself” – Modern Romanticism – 1/17/2022

Walk a mile in your sunset.
Draped, all over in the shine,
the divine remembrance.

With a curtain taken back.
With receding eyes to notice Heaven.
Twin lips, boldest,
reddest with a touch of
faint glimmer.

Wide hips, frozen scars
from some other implement of warmth.

Give your new waters, for another dip
in the sea that a second wound
could set you free.

Bright scenes within bedrooms,
among fabrics.
Bendable screams.

Our fire.
Our creations to God’s art,
awakened, in desire.
