Poem – “Allow me a Kiss, or a Rope” – Romance – 4/21/2020

Allow me what you can

Offer, to me

For I have not aplenty

To give back.

There is pain that soaks my eyes,

That stings both pupil and iris.

I beg of you,

Allow me something to rid it.

The kiss or the rope,

To love or to die,

To breathe or to sigh,

As it is all why

I see the world through my eyes,

And the grief connected.

Kiss me,

Or kill me,

The moment is now

To decide.
