Poem – “Forever, within” – Romanticism – 2/17/2021

The feelings gallop

Towards the moon’s many faces.
Holding hands in a twist,
Of dual thorns, growing the rose,

Dropping the ashes
From petals, in the dusk.

Entwined, we surge
With the fears, in the love,

Birthing newborn oceans
From eyes,
Staining hands,
Though kissing

In crystallized rain.

Curves about you,
Beauty of watery Neptune.

Of flesh I have sculpted,
Of bones, where you feel

Vulnerable, in the ache.

I hold your head close,
Cradle your heart,
Soak you, in the wind,
Find you, in every remembrance.

In idle blood,
We remain here, to love.
