Poem – “Rain Fever” – Love Poetry – 3/20/2021

Sealing love
After numerous sunsets,
Curving footsteps backwards
On a path
Towards the heartbeat’s abyss,
Knowing where a frown
Must, once more
Be raised.

Losing you to a grave,
Holding hope by its own threads
Of the garment
That had warmed me
In the conceit,
The denial
That you did not fade
In my new state of being.

Your shelter is inside the earth,
While the warmth
Keeps you company even in the cold
Rain, from the oceans of Heaven.

I still believe
Something was kept
Deep in the nowhere
I had not looked,
For fear of you standing near.
