Poem – “Love’s Sleeping Spell” – Love Poetry – 4/4/2021

Divide the even space between
All of the commanding radiance
Where love conquers the scene,
Of life’s own brittle inhabitance.
Making music of bitter grief
Calls me to my disbelief.

Love is a great cradle drawn empty
Of what did grow to reach the moon,
Born of a naked vow in eternity
Where life is clean to dispose the gloom.
Inborn silence and making smiles
On the shore where time stands awhile.

Not to leave, though to grieve
In the pain of what makes eyes see
The way in which veins most bleed
Crimson to the radiant sea.
Meander within lonesome discovery
Of inward retreat to graveyard mockery.
