Poem – “Holding you High on the Universe” – Romance – 4/25/2020

Sweet dreams,

Romance,

Blessed scenes,

Entrance

Among faces that scorn the wedded in my arms.

They cannot see

Who I've come to need

In arms, embraced among the universe,

As she is my sun.

My light, unbroken and won.

We fall into white blankets and adorned quilts,

As decor falls from her legs,

Of lace and velvet and satin

Making all who I've come to meet,

As she takes my seat.

I am in love with the moon,

For my tears are soon

To eclipse my gloom.

Roads full of bliss,

Among lips ready for the kiss

Will be all to strive for,

And all to live for.

      95% of my poems are in free verse. Though, I would like to use a rhyme scheme and iambic patterns for more of them.
