Poem – “My Love knows Poison” – Romance – 8/15/2020

A great wash
To my bleeding arms.
A great stream
To where skin comes,
Uncleaned.
She is the bath to make
Without puddles
To leave.
She is the music
Of no notes.

My love cries the world
Asunder.
My love screams the world
In thunder.

She is the serpent
Without a world
To swim through.
A long tail matches the longest river.
A stream of matching tears
To the one, with fangs, whose poison sears.

I keep on
Rushing.
I run on
Surging
My pain
In different directions.

There is stillness in words
Knowing of the one love
To capture the rest
In arms as cold as her nest,
In an embrace as solemn as her face.
