Poem – “A Heart before it Breaks” – Love Poetry – 5/6/2021

Here’s to shame,
Pacing with the blame,
Weeping a song
With nowhere to belong.
Waiting with eyes, wide open,
And breathing
Beneath the ocean.

Meander through
The still rush,
Within.

Waking
To discover
Snowfall, in the soul.

To sign
A name, with white-out
Upon the heart
Through reverberation,
Wasting years
Beside the fears.

Here’s to the breath,
The blameness,
Shameness
Suffering.

Here’s to grace,
To a place
Life will swallow the cure
Love holds out.
